Who are the Baha'is?

Baha’is are people from diverse backgrounds who recognise the need for unity
and peace in the world. Their mission is to show by deeds and words that
such world peace and unity is achievable.  Baha’is believe that Baha’u’llah
is the Messenger of God for this time, and  that God has sent many
Messengers in the past. Baha’is have great love and respect for the past
Messengers, such as Moses, Christ, Muhammad, Buddha, Krishna and seek
common ground and understanding between themselves and the followers of
other faiths as well as those of no faith.

One of the principles of the Baha’i Faith is that each of us has a duty to
search for truth.  Baha’is are happy to share ideas with others in this
search.  Membership of the Baha’i Faith is open to all, and Baha’is are
happy to welcome new members into their community.
